Young at Heart has been set up by Rachel Gibson as a not-for-profit organisation and we are keen to have total transparency with our patrons on how funds are distributed. We have an executive committee which involves local businessmen and the cricket club where we are based.
We employ staff and do not rely on volunteers.
Daily rates for 2018 are £50 per day, and allow for a staff to patrons ratio of 5/1. Included in the costs are pickup and collection from anywhere in Heathfield, two activities per day and lunch.
Young at Heart will be run as a business however all profits will be distributed in the following ways laid out in the table below. Therefore benefitting patrons with availability of subsidised places as well as benefiting the cricket club who are letting us use their facilities.
|Percentage of Profits|
With 15 patrons at the club for five days a week we anticipate that we will be able to distribute about £18,000 to subsidised places. This would be the equivalent of 360 full days. We would talk to potential patrons on an individual basis on their needs and the committee would allocate subsidies accordingly.
We are keen to have the communities involvement in this community club and welcome any feedback from potential patrons by emailing email@example.com.
We offer everyone an initial free day to see how they like club.
CHARITABLE DONATIONS FROM BUSINESS
We would welcome conversations with local businesses or charities who would like to use their charity allowance to subsidise a place for a patron at Young at Heart.
